《出租车司机》讲述了搭载德国记者Jurgen Hinzpeter，偶然来到光州的出租车司机金四福身上发生的故事。
Jurgen Hinzpeter1980年5月作为德国第一公营广播ARD-NDR的驻日本员工用影像记录了光州事件，并创作了《蓝色眼睛的目击者》一书，让全世界了解到5.18光州惨案，还于2003年在韩国获得了新闻大奖。
领奖当时，Jurgen Hinzpeter还特别提到了出租车司机金四福，“我要感谢80年5月带我到光州，并给我做向导的勇敢的出租车司机金四福。”
Jurgen Hinzpeter于今年1月离世。 而当年搭载Jurgen Hinzpeter的金司机则勇敢的在光州的小巷内甩开了戒严军队，将十卷胶片安全护送出了光州。
宋康昊褪去《思悼》的皇帝外衣，将在《出租车司机》中变身出租车司机，回归演绎他最擅长的小人物角色。此外，刘海镇和最近凭借《社交恐惧症》《请回答1988》等影视作品崭露头角的新秀柳俊烈也将加盟该片，出演反政府军角色。
《出租车司机》由SHOWBOX投资发行，《义兄弟》《高地战》的导演张熏执掌拍摄，这是张熏导演在《义兄弟》之后时隔五年与宋康昊的再度合作。

In 1987 Korea, under an oppressive military regime, a college student gets killed during a police interrogation involving torture. Government of officials are quick to cover up the death and order the body to be cremated. A prosecutor who is supposed to sign the cremation release, raises questions about a 21-year-old kid dying of a heart attack, and he begins looking into the case for truth. Despite a systematic attempt to silence everyone involved in the case, the truth gets out, causing an eruption of public outrage.

Xiao Bo lives in a world where the lines defining men from women are constantly dissolving. He kneels at the deathbed of his father who has become a woman, and whose dying wish is to have oral sex with his/her son. His boyfriend Nana has also undergone a sex change, but Xiao Bo no longer finds her attractive as a woman. A sexual chain reaction ensues that wreaks havoc on traditional Chinese roles that govern male and female, parent and child.

《旧约》包含着三个叙事段落：诗篇1981，箴言1991年和雅歌2001。每个叙事段落都由歌队的无伴奏合唱来完成“高潮”：第一个段落是“小博结婚了”，第二个段落是“小浩失业了”，第三个段落是“小博去卖身”。诗篇1981的主人公小博刚刚迎来自己的同性情侣正阳，就被嫂嫂青姐发现，哥哥和嫂子用家长制的方式逼迫小博与小翠成亲、小博成亲后，生下一子，不久便抑郁而终。箴言1991的主人公小浩意外地获得大宇的垂青，赶走原本同居的男友，与大宇同居起来。号称与妻子娜娜离婚的大宇，其实只是同娜娜吵了架，想找一个地方避一避。小浩得知此情，把大宇软禁起来，并骗来娜娜，让她签署离婚协议。大宇婚没离成，倒是与小浩举行了婚礼。小浩失业之后，大宇把他带回家，与娜娜三人同居起来。雅歌2001的主人公小博不仅住在男友大荐的家里，还带回身染艾滋的小刚，期望大荐能与他共同照料小刚。大荐无法容忍二人共处，把房子送给小博，独自迁出。小刚常常绝望，出走或企图自杀，小博不得不辞掉工作每天在家陪伴他。小刚发病之后，小博不得不考虑把房子卖掉以支付昂贵的医药费用，房子没有卖掉，倒是有人想买他的身体。为了给小刚治病，他走上了出卖肉身的不归之路。
《旧约》处处与惩戒和死亡相关，引用着旧约时代上帝与人类的关系。这不是悲剧，也不意味着悲观世界。新约就在前方，走向前，新约时代就会到来。

A prostitute from the Northeast, desperate and unable to make ends meet, abandons her baby. An unemployed factory worker decides to take the child for the 200 yuan (about $37 Canadian) a month in child support promised by its mother. His early attempts at child-rearing are somewhat painful to watch, but also charming and amusing. Eventually, he and the mother become friendly and it seems that the child will be raised in a sweetly unorthodox family. However, when the woman's pimp, a local gangster, not only finds out that he may have fathered the child, but also that he is dying of cancer, he decides that he must adopt the baby - and is willing to resort to violence if necessary.

该片讲述了志愿军从准备出兵到渡江到战争到战争结束的全部过程，披露了许多从未公开的战争史实。全片为了追求艺术的真实，调动了大量的军用设施如坦克、大炮等，还调动了很多部队参与拍摄，同时在丹东、本溪等地开机。在着力渲染战争场面的同时，也更注重通过人物的性格、情感来展开故事情节。
