Showing Further Potential in their Sophomore Album

The indie and alternative rock vibes can be found throughout. While still having room to grow, Highly Suspect shows remarkable talent. Very content to be themselves, their lyrical themes carry their views and experiences all wrapped up in a very nice sound.

Certain tracks like Chicago and F.W.Y.T. do fall short of expectations, but with tracks like For Billy and My Name is Human it's hard to not enjoy the overall package. It's simply some of the best new rock out there right now. A particular standout for me is Look Alive, Stay Alive which carries the sound and energy of punk rock.

They still have a ways to go and the album is touch uneven is a few areas. Still, they prove themselves to be worth following yet again and even gotten themselves some Grammy nominations this early in their career. With one of the most original and unique sounds out there right now, passing up on Highly Suspect would be a mistake. Especially when they have this much talent.
