L.S.T.

L.S.T., the second album from Tokyo native Shugo Tokumaru, consists of a heady mix of guitar, ukulele, musical saws, wind up toys, traditional Japanese instruments such as shamisen, hichiriki, and taishougoto, and other elaborate effect makers. This album shares many of the same atmospheric characteristics as his first album, but is some what fuller in sound. In short L.S.T. is a dense masterpiece, mixing a few decades of pop music and crazy folk music. This album includes a CD-Rom which consists of beautiful interactive games based around L.S.T.s album art; the CD-Rom also includes a remix game that highlights Shugos experimentation with everyday things as instruments, and lyric translations.
