First Floor Power was formed in 1997 in Malmö, Sweden, and in the following years, the band played a number of festivals, among them the indie festival Emmaboda (always a good breeding ground for new bands). While appearing on a few compilations, their debut EP, We Are the People, was released in 2000 on Silence and was produced by Jonas Jonasson from Bob Hund. The setting was now Winqvist on keyboards and vocals, Lager on drums, Sara Wilson on bass and vocals, and her sister Jenny Wilson on guitar and vocals. The album There Is Hope was released in 2001 and "Scissors, Bag & a Stone" became a minor radio hit. ~ Lars Lovén, Rovi
