Alfarroba

Portoguese band Pega Monstro (which means 'catch the monster') consist of sisters Julia Reis (drums) and Maria Reis (guitar, keyboard). They have signed with London label Upset The Rhythm for the release of their latest record 'Alfarroba'. Pega Monstro make utterly joyous, scuzzed up indie pop with a naivety and vim that can't be taught. The duo play drums and guitar like their lives depend on it, effortlessly throwing about the type of power-punk-pop tunes without a care in the world. Think a mix of the Vivian Girls, a Subway Organisation label 7" and The Fastbacks.
