Wings in the Dawn

简介
Naoyuki Onda’s haunting, original keyboards entwine with a beautiful collage of shakuhachi, erhu, koto and other instruments from Asia, creating a rich and vivid landscape of sounds in "Wings in the Dawn," his second release on the Pacific Moon label.
In addition to releasing a previous album ("Dream") on the Pacific Moon label, he has worked on several other Pacific Moon projects as well: as a keyboard player on the albums "River" and "Rainbow" (by renowned erhu player Jia Peng-Fang, with whom Onda often performs in concert), and as one of four composers using the pentatonic musical scale, on Pacific Moon piano compilation albums, "Ancient City" and "Snow."
“I don’t want to only be known as a pianist or composer, but as a creator of a world of sound,” explains Onda. “That world is not just Japanese or Chinese or American, but more of a utopia found in the heart…”
