From 1991 to 1992, Yanagawa held a series of solo concerts titled "Texture and figure" at the theater "Jean Jean" in Shibuya,Tokyo, joined by Otomo Yoshihide(g,turn-table), Yoshizawa Motoharu(b), Midorikwa Keiki(cello) and Akita Masami(MERZBOW) as the guest musicians. The first solo CD "TEXTURE AND FIGURE'91"was released in 1991.
