Making his first appearance on the n5MD label is South African electronic music composer Jason van Wyk. Since he began working on film soundtracks in the 2010s, his erstwhile progressive trance sound has headed into more ambient territory. ‘Threads’ further attests to this shift, its serene but uneasy atmosphere informed by the lockdown times in which it was created.
