摇滚女王艾拉妮丝莫莉塞特睽违全球流行摇滚乐坛4年，于2012年8月发行首全新专辑《Havoc And Bright Lights》，专辑请来曾为天后玛丹娜、碧玉、艾尔顿强、U2等人操盘制作的黄金制作组合Guy Sigsworth及Joe Chiccarelli完整操盘、制作，首支单曲〈Guardian〉已在全球首播。
艾拉妮丝莫莉塞特说道：「这张专辑反应了我近来的喜好与关注的议题，有时候清晨4点突然无比的清醒，也让自己在这个时间里有个深刻的自省空间，透过把私密的情感、心理层面的挣扎、社会议题及具有哲理的观点谱入歌曲中，也造就了这张全新作品的制作概念，等不及让全球乐迷听听我的新创作，也等不及展开全球巡回演唱，用最直接、生动的方式，和所有歌迷见面。」
Havoc and Bright Lights, the new Alanis Morissette album, will be released on August 28, 2012. It's her seventh studio album and first release in four years. Guy Sigsworth, who has worked with Morissette, Madonna and Britney Spears, and Joe Chiccarelli, who engineered recordings for Frank Zappa, the Shins and Grace Potter, produced. The first single, "Guardian," will be available on iTunes on May 15, four days after it is shipped to radio.
"This record, as always, is a snapshot of what I currently obsess about, care about, and what strikes me at 4 in the morning in my most introspective moments," Morissette said in a statement. "It is my emotional, psychological, social and philosophical commentary through song."
