Epic Garden Music

最早是一张8曲EP，或者可以说是一张mini Album，后来1988年Midnight加了几首歌，和《Feeding The Flame》一起再版发行。
Somewhere in the overlooked world of early 80's post-punk and college rock is Sad Lovers and Giants. This English band put out some fine music, comparable with early Cure, Sound, Chameleons, and Joy Division, but also with a touch of jangle-pop and psychedelia thrown in. Epic Garden Music is probably their best work, particularly with this CD release, which adds seven bonus tracks including the excellent "Imagination", as well as other fine tracks such as "Tightrope Touch" (my second favorite track) and "Colourless Dream". If there is any complaint it's that the bonus tracks are considerably better than the album tracks, which must be why they were put before the album cuts on the CD. They lyrics range from moderate to very thought-out and passionate, and the music, while sparse and lacking in production, actually fits quite well. This is a very difficult album to locate, but it's certainly something I'm glad I came across.
