Classical music cover artist Maxence Cyrin will soon release the follow-up album to his acclaimed 2005 LP Modern Rhapsodies.
Filled with covers of popular indie and electronic tunes from the last decades, Cyrin will include classical covers of tracks from artists like Justice with D.A.N.C.E., The Pixies with Where is My Mind and even Beyonce & Jay-Z with Crazy In Love. The list of covered artists also includes MGMT, Cocteau Twins and Nirvana amongst others.
Cyrin doesn’t leave anything to chance, in the past he has reworked artists like Aphex Twin, Depeche Mode, Moby and Massive Attack.
Just like Nouvelle Vogue (Marc Colin from Nouvelle Vogue produced this album) or Nigel Kennedy, artists like Maxence Cyrin breath new life into songs, which have been drowned out at radio, attracting a totally new audience for this music.
Cyrin started out at 18 playing classical music on piano, he then became addicted to techno changing his motivation for making music. French superstar Laurent Garnier initially picked him up for his own label F Communications, but now Kwaidan Records will release his new LP.
