“This is a journey of tidying up my bedroom, healing my inner shadows, and returning to one’s own-being” —— Having gone through a series of life changes and mindful realizations after the release of her debut album <Beyond Mediocrity> ,9m88 has transformed from a bold fledgling into a mature, self-possessed artist. She explores and practices stretching the deepest sensibilities, no matter if they stem from the light or the darkness.

<9m88 Radio> constructs an analysis of the 30-something woman’s psyche. This feminine narrative that involves the female will is fluid, diverse and open. 9m88 projects her personal life experiences to express the life and minds of people of the same generation. She addresses the attitude towards relationships in modern women born in the 90s as well as the doubts and self-expectations when it comes to their careers. This includes three songs that were born of sparks between 9m88 and female producers: cleansing the corners of the room of shadows of love in <Whatchu Gonna…? > (Rainbow Chan, Australia), depiction of a radiant, déjà-vu dreamscape in <Sleepwalking> (SUMIN, South Korea); and the delicate, prismatic instrumental arrangements in the self-deprecating heartbreak treatment prescription <Love is So Cruel> (Arthur Moon, U.S.) convey the sense and sensibility of female creators. There’s also a collaboration with the long-admired rapper Oddisee, <Friend Zone>. Another song worth noting is <Star>, which was originally the warm up song on the first album, and has now returned to <9m88 Radio> with a brand new arrangement.
