Binary Opposition

This is the second full length release from Richmond, VA's post-rock instrumentalists SHY, LOW. Presented in the form of just two tracks (both easily passing the 10 minute mark) - this four piece show a clear sign of a maturing sound and focus in their music and the ideas they want to convey to you.
Comparisons to groups like Mogwai, Mono, Envy, This Will Destroy You, are easy to make but nothing will quite sum up this music perfectly. Two guitars play layer over layer - first painting a picture with tone, then suddenly tearing it apart with explosions of fuzz and low end - backed by rhythms that you'll find leading you to their next musical canvas with eager ears.
There is no doubt that if Danny Boyle ever got his hands on this album, you'd hear most (if not all!) of it in the next "28 Days Later" sequel.
Record at the famed Inner Ear Studios with Richmonder Allen Bergendahl - there is something new to be heard with each replay of Binary Opposition, and it's this depth that makes SHY, LOW a force to be reckoned with - both on record, and at their intensely energetic live performances.
The vinyl edition of this record comes pressed on mixed colored vinyl inside of a record jacket hand printed by us in Richmond, VA.
