1977年3月3日生まれ。学生の頃、ビートルズに感銘を受け創作活動を開始。現在は、インストゥルメンタルを中心に作曲を続け、CMや演劇、プラネタリウムなどの映像作品に楽曲を提供している。趣味は、散歩、読書、映画鑑賞。大自然や動物たちとともに音楽を奏でつづけることを願う。
Rei Kagaya is a Japanese composer. He started composing music when he was a student, being impressed by The Beatles. Since then he has also developed his music composition by using computers. Now he mainly composes background music for motion pictures such as planetarium shows. His first album "Crystal Moment" was released in 2005. The pure and beautifully melancholy melodies attracted tremendous interest. In 2006, he released his second album "Planetary Feelings" by inviting female singers, Hiroko Inoue and MIGA, which shows his great ability as a songwriter. At the same time, he composed music for a planetarium show "The Celestial Railroad", which was directed by his brother, KAGAYA. He receives high acclaim for creating the magnificent and perfect harmony with the beautiful image of the show.
