作曲家于1960年亲自上阵指挥了这两部自己的作品，其中彼得鲁什卡采用了他自己1911年的原版乐谱。原汁原味的斯特拉文斯基很强调细腻的抒情，并不突出强烈的音效与节奏对比，与后来的指挥家似大多突出其戏剧性截然相反。
彼得鲁什卡1960年在好莱坞的Legion Hall录制，春之祭则是1960年录制于纽约。乐团都是CBS哥伦比亚交响乐团。
