Lightfoils

Lightfoils self-titled EP arrives with a considerable degree of anticipation. A few of the songs had been floating around cyberspace in demo form for some time, earning thousands of plays online as well as radio airplay in several US markets. Their music has drawn comparisons to such Shoegaze staples as Lush, Ride and the Cocteau Twins; and upon hearing these songs, it isn’t difficult to see why. Reverb drenched walls of sound…at one moment shimmering, the next cascading with loud peals of distortion. Ethereal yet catchy vocals and driving, prominent rhythms. While Lightfoils might evoke a sense of nostalgia in some, they nevertheless infuse their own spin of “modernity” into the mix.
