Formed two years ago in Ontario, Land Of Talk combines the jagged angularity of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the Southern impressionism of early R.E.M.. Led by singer-guitarist Elizabeth Powell, this trio of young alt-rockers has already made quite an impression on the indie rock scene with their debut Applause Cheer Boo Hiss in 2006.
