The Wasp Factory is the accompanying score for the musical theater show of the same name, composed by Australian electro-acoustic producer Ben Frost (who also directed the theater production based on the novel by Iain Banks). Composed of Frost’s signature minimalistic and experimental drone style with string sections, the score also features prominent use of sound design to encapsulate the visceral nature of the show’s story.
