JúJú & The Flowerbug is a solid project that one should open their mind and heart to from start to finish. It consists of rich and plush instrumentation handed by Colón and introspective topics meant to make listeners melt at the sound of his gloriously feathery tone. Though the material sounds familiar, at least in a production sense, Colón offers a sense of freshness to remind listeners of how far funk and soul have come since its creation.
