“KBS专题纪录片 - 陶瓷”在时间上从现在开始追述到从人类开始聚居的公元前8000年，在空间上覆盖了五个大陆30多个国家，是一部真正的人类文明的详尽报告。以与国内外专家学者的对谈采访为基础，在他们的指导之下，通过反复的实验、彻底的考证，用电脑特技复原再现历史中的城市。整部纪录片投入了12亿5千元的制作费，通过3年多的精心制作，是KBS历史上前所未有的大规模大手笔的纪录片，共分6部。在制作的精良和完整程度上跟国外有名的广播公司的出品的长篇纪录片相比也毫不逊色。本纪录片采用了著名作曲家梁邦彦谱写的庄严肃穆的音乐为背景音乐，以HD高清晰度的画面展示了历史，暗示了21世纪全球一体化时代的新的发展方向
