Walt Disney Records has released the first song from the soundtrack for the live-action film adaptation of the animated classic The Little Mermaid. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is the new version of Part of Your World written by Alan Menken (music) & Howard Ashman (lyrics) performed by lead actress Halle Bailey. Also check out the official visualizer music video after the jump. A full soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie and selections of the Menken’s original score will be released on May 19. The Little Mermaid is directed by Rob Marshall and also stars Jonah Hauer-King, Daveed Diggs, Awkwafina, Jacob Tremblay, Art Malik, Noma Dumezweni, Javier Bardem and Melissa McCarthy. The movie will be released in theaters nationwide on May 26 by Walt Disney Pictures.
