Happy For You

Danish pop band Lukas Graham released a new song “Happy For You” from their upcoming fourth studio album on May 14, 2021.
The track was written by Samantha Ashley DeRosa, Morten Ristorp, JP Clark, Joe Kirkland, Samuel Wishkoski, Lukas Forchhammer, David LaBrel, David LaBrel, Pete Kelleher and Tom Barnes. Produced by TMS.
The accompanying music video was directed by Phillip Jacques and Daniel Manicus.
The song follows up “Where I'm From”, which is include on their documentary film “7 Years of Lukas Graham”.
Lukas Graham said of the song, “It's a song about the terrible 'what if the worst came to pass,' and we weren't together. I'd want you to be happy whatever that entails, and if I didn't want you to be happy, then was it ever real love? Or, was it just infatuation and desire? 'Happy For You' attempts to narrate the broken-heartedness of the breakup, acknowledging the difficulties and the struggle of the one 'left behind'.”
The new album is expected to be released later this year.
