Paul Oakenfold is one of the most important and influential DJs in popular music. In a career now spanning more than two decades, he has worked with such acclaimed artists and bands as Madonna, U2, the Dave Matthews Band, Incubus, Moby, Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, Ice Cube and Nelly Furtado. 2003 sees the release of this dynamic new mix album- where he combines mega pop artists such as Madonna and Justin Timberlake with alternative greats such as Bjork and Dave Gahan (of Depeche Mode)!
It is now safe to say that Paul Oakenfold is the world's number one DJ! Running concurrently with his burgeoning soundtrack career, Oakenfold recently had five albums in the American Top 50 Electronic Chart. They included Perfecto Presents Another World which, when released at the end of 2000, became America's biggest-ever DJ mix album. Oakenfold was also the headline DJ on Moby's massively ambitious Area:One traveling festival tour of North America last summer.
