André Bazin

Andre Bazin's impact on film art is widely considered to be greater than that of many directors, actors, and producers. He is credited with almost single-handedly establishing the study of film as an accepted intellectual pursuit. Updating the paperback edition of 1977, Dudley Andrew has written a completely new introduction and provided an additional essay by Jean-Charles Tacchella.
