Kangxi and Louis XIV aka The Amphitrite, Six Thousand Miles by Sea presents France and China at the two ends of the Eurasian continent 300 years ago. The two great monarchs, Louis XIV, King of France and Kangxi the Emperor of China and the France "exchanged and learned from each other" new concepts in business affairs, technology and culture. It is a narration of "China-French friendship" which has a long history of exchanges and mutual learning. Both countries have made important contributions to the progress of human civilization." She arrived on August 3, 1700 at the port of Lorient.
