Beloved Tropic tells the story of the encounter of two women; Ana Maria is a Colombian immigrant who works caring for Mercedes, a distinguished lady of high society who is being consumed by Alzheimer's disease. From very distant worlds, these women recognize each other in the experience of loneliness. In a tropical garden they build a bridge and for a time save each other from solitude.
