With a fluid narrative that loosely follows a German teenager and his attraction to an aggressive friend, the film was produced by Channel 4 UK and Dazed & Confused, and directed by Matt Lambert. Burning through topics like sexuality, violence, friendship and family, Heile Gänsje sums up German youth culture through dreamy lighting and brash dialogue.
