Captain Khorshid is a sailor who although only having one hand, manages to sail his little boat. In his village, due to its hot climate and hard living conditions, dangerous criminals are sent into exile. They want to escape from the area, so they ask a middleman to strike a deal with Khorshid. Khorshid is asked to illegally take them out of the country with his boat. At first he is reluctant, but because of the hardships of living he accepts the job.

The story is about two poor boys’ search for their father through a Journey from downtown to uptown. Two hungry boys are forced to move through the events, people and unrealistic and risky places in a nightmarish way. A daily journey in search of their lost identity and worth!

Mohammad Javad Halimi is a simple government's employer who manages after years to buy a house for himself outside the city's limits. But in the second night in his new house a thief is coming to his house. He manages to catch the thief but delivering him to the authorities is another story.

This story basically follows the most important happenings in Prophet Josephs life, from the view of muslims. The most important happenings are: 1. his travel to egypt 2. his rise and growing up in Egypt 3. his life problems when his "owner" Zuleikha falls in love with him and wants him to return the love to him. 4. his stay in prison, and how he reforms the prisoners. 5. his return by the side of the Pharao. 6. his uprising to the side of the pharao as his advisor. 7. his brothers coming to egypt, and how he decides to make them regret their mistakes so they can receive forgivness, and peace. 8. his reunion with his family after more than 20 years.

"The Stranger and the Fog" which runs for nearly two-and -a-half hours and was some years in preparation, is an epic that owes allegiance to the Japanese cinema of Kurosawa.
It is set in some distant historical epoch (unfamiliar even to Iranians), and centres on intolerance in a small seaside Village. A stranger arrives in a boat. No one knows why or whence he comes. After an intial period of sucpicion, he is accepted by the villagers and marries a young widow. But there is always the feeling that he is being pursued, and the climax of the film describes a running fight between the villagers and five mysterious armed men who come in search of the stranger.
The film is shot in color with an arrogant ease; the camera travels swiftly and fluently alongside running figures, and prowls unerringly through the village huts. This is a grandiose achievement, as successful in its depiction of a primitive life-style as Paradjanov's "Shadow of Our Forgotten Ancestors". It marks Bahram Beizai as one of his country's most gifted directors. (Film Guide 1975)
