暴脾气的糟老头刚刚失去了妻子，就在他为自己制作棺材、准备迎接死亡时，生活却出现了转机。孙女求助于他，需要他用执拗的脾气与生活的智慧来帮助自己度过难关。在这个过程中，糟老头找到了生活的意义，同时知晓了一个大秘密……
