斯蒂芬·金的著名小说《黑暗塔》将被Amazon拍成剧集——跟前两年那部并不成功的电影版没有关联，该剧最新选中了主角枪侠罗兰的饰演者：Sam Strike(《夜航者》《心理神探》)。并选中Jasper Pääkkönen(《维京传奇》《黑色党徒》)饰演罗兰追杀的Marten。
比起电影的故事大改，剧版据称将更忠实于原作小说，讲述年轻的罗兰的起源故事：他是如何拿起枪、成为枪侠，他如何初次遇到死敌“黑衣人”、他的初恋、初次任务⋯⋯
剧集由Glen Mazzara(《行尸走肉》)运作，Media Rights Capital是制作方，在Amazon已开发了近一年时间，已经接近获得首集预订。

幕后制作
电影改编自法国争议女作家萝荷·夏彭提耶（Laure Charpentier）的同名小说“Gigola”，她早在1972年即完成小说手稿，深入描写纸醉金迷的60年代巴黎红灯区毕嘉乐（Pigalle），主角乔治放荡不羁、无比迷人的一生，但由于小说对性的描写过于钜细靡遗又惊世骇俗，让读者仿佛亲临酒池肉林之中，在当时被视为败德的禁书，直到30年后才重见天日正式出版。
小说出版后造成空前畅销，原作者夏彭提耶继而亲执导演筒拍成电影，本片荣获塞维尔欧洲电影节最佳导演奖，肯定她转战大银幕的野心与能力。片中女主角由当今法国时尚界的宠儿露朵蓉（Lou Doillon）主演，她也是一代女星珍宝金（Jane Birkin）的次女，亦男亦女的暧昧扮相，集放荡、古典、张扬、妖娆于一身的演出，完美呈现60年代巴黎复古时髦的绝代风华。
