Set in Southern Sweden, the film follows the mismatch of a Swedish police officer with a broken police car and a Dutch hitchhiker, as they walk over a deserted road to a gas station. At first, things seem normal, but when they reach the gas station and meet two other police officers, they need each other more than they'd want.

After the sudden disappearance of their superior, three young soldiers are left to guard a military vehicle by themselves. As their situation and the scorching desert heat renders them increasingly disconnected from reality, an encounter with a local boy escalates into a fight that will mark their lives forever.

Hovering on the thin line between tomfoolery and mischief, four students create a mini-republic where they deem themselves superior to school, parents and rules.
