A government official in Czechoslovakia mistakenly believes he has cancer. He reasons his involvement in clandestine activities during the Stalin administration have fated him to die from a dreaded disease. He searches for inner peace as he feels the guilt of his past transgressions. This film tied for the Grand Prize at the Mannheim Film Festival in 1969.
Slovak director Dusan Hanak was one of Czech cinema's brightest and best talents of the '60s and '70s, but because of censorship this was not manifest until the late '80s. Dusan made an impact on the film world with his auspicious debut 322 (1969). Though banned until 1988, when it was finally released, it earned international acclaim and the Grand Prix award at the Mannheim Film Festival. Hanak's sophomore effort, the documentary Obrazy Stareho Sveta/Image of an Old World (completed in 1972), was also not released until 1988 and neither was his 1980 film Ja Milujem, Ty Milujes/I Love You, You Love. Only Hanak's 1976 film Ruzove Sny/Rose-Tinted Dreams passed muster with censors and saw a timely release.

1942年6月，在德国占领区的捷克斯洛伐克，一名党卫军的高级将领兼警察总监被刺杀。城市因此宵禁，市民不得外出，一切娱乐活动被禁，违者就会被枪毙。党卫军悬赏重金捉拿刺客，市集也被取缔，扩音喇叭里每天播放被枪毙者的名单，荷枪实弹的党卫军布满街头，一片肃杀。古典中学毕业班的同学因一张毕业照无端被牵连。随着事情的发展，该毕业班的维尔卡等三人最后被无辜杀害。在整个事件中，被学生戏称为“更高原则”的马列克教授始终伸张正义，不为恐怖所吓倒，感染了同学们。本片揭露了德国法西斯凶残的本性，批判了捷克斯洛伐克人中的软弱者，歌颂了正义的教师和学生。

历史上第一部互动电影（interactive movie），观众可以通过按手中的红绿按钮来投票选择后面的剧情。1967年蒙特利尔世博会上捷克馆的一大看点。影片同时也是贯穿着捷克电影新浪潮的主题。

根据马克·吐温《汤姆·索亚历险记》改编，原著中的很多故事段子都有保留，但不若原著碎片化。

二战期间，在捷克布拉格附近和特莱西恩施塔特集中营，起初，德军对集中营内的犹太人看守不十分严格，并允许他们在集中营区内正常工作和交往，但对想逃出集中营的犹太人却严格处罚，全部枪杀。不久，一起有反抗意识的人在集中营区内书写“打倒法西斯”标语，作为报复，盖世太保决定抓捕一些犹太人送往臭名昭著的奥斯威辛集中营。虽然特莱西恩施塔特犹太人长老多次与盖世太保首领交涉，但不能改变纳粹的决定，一批犹太人最终被火车送往了奥斯威辛集中营。

这部由捷克导演沃耶奇·贾斯尼执导的有趣戏剧深刻地概括了生命是多么短暂，分为四个部分。在第一个短剧中，我们观察到一个小孩在他刚出生的妹妹成为家庭一员时对他的印象。在第二个短剧中，一个年轻女子在一个夏天第一次坠入爱河，在第三个短剧中，一个坚强的年长农民妇女与农业合作社抗争。最后，在最后一个部分，一切都回到原点，一个即将成为祖母的女人去世了，而她的儿媳还没有生孩子。

This three-part Austrian/Czech comedy stretches the boundaries of what is considered to be humorous. Part one finds a silent film actor upset because of a rival actor's attention to the former's wife. When he kills his rival, it is only when he is strapped to the electric chair that he realizes that this is his last live scene. The second episode has the wife of an elderly British nobleman having an affair with the young gamekeeper of their estate. Part three finds a peasant woman taking a lover when her husband goes off to fight the war.

A young, unmarried woman finds herself a "little bit pregnant" and she tries to hide this fact from her mother but it isn't long before the truth is obvious.

The sad hero of the story, Petr, an ordinary lawyer in a construction company, is crowded into a small apartment in Žižkov with his wife and grandparents, desperately struggling with the lack of money. One day he offers an old man a seat on a crowded trolley bus and is generously rewarded for his good deed, for the unknown old man is a fabulous grandfather. He gives Peter a magic bell and the opportunity to make three wishes, but the first two slip through his fingers. For the third, the astonished man must take time to think...

A poor miner, Kuba Dařbuján, cares for his wife Markýtka and eleven children. When a newborn arrives, he seeks a godfather and, finding only Death fair to all, accepts a pact: as a doctor whom Death accompanies at the foot of a patient’s bed, he can heal; but if Death stands at the head, no cure is possible. Kuba eventually heals even a miserly brewer, violating the pact and imprisoning Death, leading to a world where no one can die and unforeseen chaos follows.
