多得有妮可（纳嘉·乌尔 Nadja Uhl 饰）家中的那个小阳台，她和邻居兼死党凯琳（英卡·芙德瑞Inka Friedrich 饰）得以互诉心事，消解夏天烦躁，细品人生况味。每个清风习习的傍晚，妮可和凯琳都在阳台上喝可乐和酒。妮可每天都细心照顾独居老人，而未婚妈妈凯琳为儿子的学业爱情操心，没有好工作、好伴侣的两个好姊妹，在这里幻想着新感情的出现。

格雷戈尔（贾基·施瓦茨 Jaecki Schwarz 饰）在很小的时候因为战乱跟随父母逃离了德国，当他再度回到自己的故乡时，已经是一位19岁的青年了。回归后，格雷戈尔以苏联军官的身份被任命成为了地方司令官。当地的市长是一名纳粹分子，当他的阴谋败露之后，他和格雷戈尔之间爆发了激烈的矛盾。
格雷戈尔和伙伴萨沙（阿列克谢·艾博贞科 Aleksey Eybozhenko 饰）、德辛吉斯（Jenny Gröllmann 饰）一起前往前线，向德国士兵劝降。哪知道在解放集中营的过程中，萨沙被受惊的士兵乱枪打死。眼前混乱的景象和好友的身亡让格雷戈尔坚定了信念，要拯救自己的国度。

Die BRD in den 70er Jahren. Über die heitere Anarchie kommt Rita Vogt zum Terrorismus, verführt durch ihren Gerechtigkeitssinn und durch die Liebe zu Andi. Als sie das Scheitern der Bewegung erkennt, taucht sie in der DDR unter. Mit Hilfe der Staatsicherheit, personifiziert in Erwin Hull, beginnt für sie dort unter anderem Namen eine neue Existenz.
Rita führt sozusagen das normale Leben der Arbeiterklasse. Sie will ankommen, während ihre junge Kollegin Tatjana weg will, in den Westen. Zwischen beiden beginnt eine Freundschaft, der eine Fahndungsmeldung im Westfernsehen ein abruptes Ende setzt. Wieder muss Rita untertauchen. Mit einem neuen Namen in einer neuen Stadt scheint sie mehr Glück zu haben.
Rita lernt im Urlaub den Studenten Jochen kennen. Er will sie mit nach Moskau nehmen. Doch dann wird Rita von ihrer Vergangenheit eingeholt, es ist das Jahr 1989 - die Mauer fällt, die DDR hört auf zu bestehen...

1945年10月,一群德国战俘在波兰华沙火车站的站台上等待，准备带走。一个妇女走到押送战俘的军官面前说了些什么，年轻的德国战俘尼布尔被留了下来，并被关进了监狱。尼布尔不知自己犯了什么罪，而其他人也只有猜测。后来才得知自己是杀人犯。在狱中他受了真正法西斯分子，杀人犯的虐待，受到了罪人的待遇。最后经调查尼布尔确实没有杀过人，也没有到那妇女指控他犯罪的城市去过后，就把他放了。本片的主题是表现马克·尼布尔为什么被关在华沙的监狱里，表现了他得命运，通过这个人物使观众看清真正法西斯分子的本来面目。

Sunny is the singer of band trying to establish itself in the music-scene of East-Berlin. They play regular gigs in small towns, but Sunny feels out of touch with the audience and her life as a whole. She begins a relationship with the amateur saxophonist and studied philosopher Ralph who writes her a very personal song - but his obsession with death and unfaithful lifestyle is not for her. After getting into a quarrel with a band member who harasses her and telling off a show-host she is thrown out of the band. Abandoned, she struggles to regain control over her life.

Berlin - Ecke Schönhauser depicts the youth of 1950s East Berlin as an aimless bunch, lacking goals, with no motivation to better themselves or to look beyond the thrill of the next dance or meaningless act of delinquency. Here the youth of the DDR have much in common with their American counterparts in films like Rebel Without a Cause. Unlike the spoiled LA kids choking on Eisenhower-era consumption, however, Berlin teenagers Dieter, Kohle, Karl-Heinz, Angelika and their friends live in poverty amid the ruins of WW II. Parents are missing, killed in the war. As the city rebuilds, piles of rubble disgorge live bombs. While the East struggles to repair the damage of the last war West Germany rearms, this time with nuclear weapons. The kids are all right, but they survive in a pretty grim environment. To the youths, adults belong to an alien race who cling to hypocritical bourgeois values. There are exceptions – a sympathetic police officer takes an interest in the plight of the young people, promising apprenticeships to the out-of-work kids.
But Karl-Heinz has other plans: pre-Berlin Wall travel between the city's Capitalist and Communist zones is easy, and Karl-Heinz exchanges East Marks for West and sells stolen IDs, eager to make enough money to enable flight to the West. One of his crimes goes suddenly wrong, and Karl-Heinz is on the run. Kohle and Dieter try to call in a debt, tragedy ensues, and the two flee West, leaving behind Angelika, pregnant with Dieter's child.
Kohle and Dieter find West Germans suspicious, interested in espionage and not exactly welcoming. To gain asylum the young men must claim they suffered political persecution, a charge the film shows is patently false. The two friends decide to part ways, Kohle excited about heading to a new life farther west while Dieter is drawn back to the DDR life he knows.
As the film closes some important lessons have been learned: The BRD is a locus for crime of all sorts, and it draws criminals out of the East, a statement made explicit in the film's closing lines. Socialism faces challenges; it is not perfect, but it wears the human face of loving well-intentioned men and women.

山城女孩凌玲（江一燕 饰）志愿成为一名空姐，为了这个目标她在重庆小丑鲜花店努力打工存钱。偶然的机缘，玲儿与德籍华人余广浩（吴大维 饰）有了一段露水姻缘。在此之后，两人经常通过余送来的手机谈情说爱，俨然一对热恋中的情侣。这个火辣的妹子无法忍受相思之苦，终于乘上飞往柏林的飞机前来寻找恋人。然而迎接她的不是余广浩，而是自称余的下属马克（弗罗里安·卢卡斯 Florian Lukas 饰）。
马克对于玲儿与恋人见面的理由推三阻四，语焉不详。玲儿只得趁机跑掉，独自踏上寻找的旅途，却发现不仅恋人所说的住址有误，连他们看似美好的恋情也如空中花水中月，如幻似梦……

The film is a love story about a seventeen-year-old East German saleswoman named Uschi (Bürger) and an unemployed auto mechanic named Hans (Thein) from West Berlin. She leaves her familial home and moves into West Berlin, drawn by the brightness of the high streets and the economic progress in the West German side of the city. She initially dates Lord (Uwe-Jens Pape), a wealthy, leather-jacket-wearing ladies man, highly conscious of his own self-image and style. He is strongly influenced by American movie heartthrobs of the times.
Meanwhile, she meets Hans, an auto mechanic who, also image-conscious and aspiring to be trendy, is living in relative poverty and is considered less physically attractive than Lord. Although initially mesmerized by the glamour of West Berlin and Lord, she falls in love with Hans, deciding that looks and image are not important. She eventually returns home to her parents along with Hans, who finds a job in the Eastern side of the city.

The amazing imaginative fiction author Stanislaw Lem wrote this visually stunning East German space exploration film with a dated but still thoughtful message. The Sets of Der Schweigende Stern are detailed and beautiful - giving the film an amazingly alien feel. The cinematography varies from excellent to mediocre, and the visual effects are cleverly done - relying on actual props and set devices as opposed to split screen and blue or green screen trick photography. Lem's plot is poignant and well-paced, but, unfortunately, most of the acting in this film is a bit difficult to watch. Finally, the overuse of voice-over narration in the early part of the film detracts from its otherwise good artistic and technical merit.
