Two lovers want to get married, but only with their parents' consent.

Murali, a young man training to become a police officer, falls in love with his neighbour Uma. After failing to make the grade, he gets disheartened and turns to a life of crime.

The film is about a special friendship between a boy and girl, Aby (Kunchacko Boban) and Sona (Shalini). Aby and Sona are childhood friends but they have no romance between them. It was too late when they realized their romance.
