达摩祖师（尔冬升 饰）本是印度南部国家的三王子，曾传授武艺给少林，是中国禅宗始祖。达摩父王病重，他在回宫探望的路上却遭遇杀手伏击，其他王子对即将继承王位的达摩心怀恨意，王宫之中暗流涌动。盘若多罗法师将老王身上的冤魂祛除，又引导达摩修行。达摩独具慧根，经过考验终于拜入盘若 多罗门下，后者劝说达摩在自己死后67年才能去中国修行。多年以后，达摩在南北朝梁武帝时期登陆南海，梁武帝令东林御寺予以接待，达摩见解玄妙，却令梁武帝不满，随即独自云游四方，最后在少林寺后山面壁静坐，三年不吃不喝不动。龙山寺神光和尚（樊少皇 饰）曾是杀戮无数的战将，皈依后夜夜被血腥噩梦困扰。神光为求修行解脱，远赴少林拜见达摩……

An acrobatic country hick is forced flee his village after injuring a wealthy socialite during an innocent competition. Fresh off the boat, he runs into a struggling football team who discover his talents.

Two elderly Taoist priests, Chi Men and Dun Jai, who learn their magic from the same teacher always quarrel with each other. They provide mirth and expert kung fu tuition to young man who is mistakenly presumed to be the crown prince of the Imperial Court, missing since childhood. The emperor dispatches an eunuch with the magic powers to apprehend the young man. But he must first deal with Chi Men and Dun Jia who are the young man's protector.
