It Won't Be Soon Before Long is the second studio album by the American pop rock band Maroon 5. It was released on May 16, 2007, by A&M Octone Records, as the follow-up to their debut album, Songs About Jane (2002). The name was inspired by a phrase the band adopted to keep themselves motivated while on their tour.

The versatile London, England-based Katy B (aka Baby Katy, Baby Katie), a garage/dubstep vocalist inspired by the likes of Mary J. A series of other features followed, including lead turns on Jelly Jams' "I Try", Geeneus' "Good Life" (a cover of the late-'80s Inner City house classic), and the Count & Sinden's "Hold Me". All of those tracks preceded the release of her first proper solo single. "Katy On A Mission", produced by Benga, was issued on Rinse in 2010. The album <On A Mission> was released the following April and debuted at number two on the U.K. album chart. Nominated for the 2011 Mercury Prize, it was issued that September in the U.S..

English singers Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse covered "Valerie" for Ronson's second studio album, Version (2007). Released as the album's third single on 15 October 2007, the track was originally done when Winehouse appeared on Jo Whiley's Live Lounge show on BBC Radio 1. The song was featured on the Now That's What I Call Music! 68 compilation, as well as the feature film 27 Dresses.
