先輩たちが“男のシンクロナイズドスイミング”を披露したことで、観光名所と化した唯野高校。何をやってもパッとしない勘九郎は、くじ引きで水泳部のリーダーに選ばれる。しかし水泳部の大学進学率が低いことが原因で、教育委員会からシンクロの自粛要請が来る。そのことを知った勘九郎は、シンクロするために転校してきた憲男と自粛の反対運動をはじめる。

This 2 night special takes off during their graduation, where Chiaki-senpai & Nodame left for Europe. The first special centered on Chiaki's story, the story tells about Chiaki's dream to be a conductor. Nodame on the other hand attended the conservatory to attain her dream to one-day play the piano for Chiaki. After her hard work, Nodame was given a chance to have a mini recital. During the recital, Chiaki saw her worth and realized that he cannot go on with out her.

Natsumi loves lunchtime and food. Nothing excites her more than to walk down the street thinking about where she'll eat lunch. One day, a man Kennichiro interrupts Natsumi as she's about to eat her favorite rice omelet and drags her outside and begs her to come home with him so that he can introduce her to his family. He explains to her that his father is sick and after leaving on bad terms, the only way he'll be allowed back home is to return with a fianceé. Natsumi is left with quite the predicament.

The 47th NHK Taiga Drama is a life story of Princess Atsu, who was born in Kagoshima Prefecture, then called Satsuma, and became the wife of Tokugawa Iesada, the 13th shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. She accedes to the highest rank in Ooku, the inner palace of the Edo castle where women related to the reigning shogun resided. Iesada dies soon after their marriage and Atsuhime assumes the name Tenshoin at the age of 23. She exerts herself for the Tokugawa clan and for the nation during the upheaval in the Meiji Restoration, headed by those from Satsuma.

Set in post-war Okinawa, Japan, Gusuku had 3 close childhood friends: On, Yamako and On's younger brother Rei. On was the oldest of the group and he was like a leader to everybody else. He was also a heroic figure to them. On led his friends into the U.S. military base and they stole supplies to give away to the local residents. Everybody in the neighborhood praised On. One night, they entered the U.S. military based to steal supplies. During their raid, On was chased by U.S. soldiers and went missing. Years later, Gusuku now works as a police officer. Yamako is an elementary school teacher. Rei is a member of the yakuza. These three people are still unable to get over the disappearance of On. They chase after the truth behind On's disappearance and uncover a shocking answer.

University student Kuno Totono is the type who constantly questions what is taken for granted in society and develops his own theories based on his vast knowledge and unique set of values. One day in autumn, the police come to see him. His university schoolmate has been murdered at a park nearby and the police apparently regard Totono with suspicion. He is asked to come with them for questioning. In the interrogation room, the police are manipulated by Totono who tends to digress from the topic and poke at their contradictions. He even correctly guesses that one of them is troubled about not getting along with the wife and ends up giving advice. However, Totono’s fingerprints are eventually discovered on the murder weapon.

「一度死んでみた」の浜崎慎治が監督と脚本を担当した本作は、芥川龍之介の短編小説「鼻」を原案としたオリジナルラブストーリー。コンビニでバイトをしている龍也と、1人深夜にコンビニを訪れる文を軸に物語は展開する。永山があごのあたりまで鼻が垂れ下がっているというコンプレックスを抱えた鼻男・龍也に扮し、眼帯の女性・文を川栄が演じた。

物語のテーマは19世紀ロシア文学を代表するドストエフスキーの傑作『カラマーゾフの兄弟』。
野田はこの作品をベースに、「日本のとある時代の花火師の家族」、つまり「唐松族（からまつぞく）の兄弟」の物語を創り上げた。ストーリーは父親殺しという"事件"を扱ったサスペンスで、物語の中心となる「唐松族の兄弟」を演じるのが松本・長澤・永山だ。舞台は日本のある時代。
松本が長男の花火師、永山が次男の物理学者、長澤が三男の聖職者を演じる。物語の全貌は明らかにされていないが、「松本は心が荒廃した花火師、長澤は性格的にも真反対の“男役”と“女役”の二役を演じ分け、永山は神をも恐れぬ不敵なインテリと、3人いずれも新鮮な役どころである。」
