Baby It's Me is a 1977 album released by American singer Diana Ross on the Motown label. The album was produced by famed rock producer Richard Perry, helping to guide the singer further into disco territory. The singles released on the LP include "Gettin' Ready for Love", "You Got It", and "All Night Lover".

Allmusic editor Rob Theakston found that "Gil Askey's arrangements are top-notch without sounding like dinner theater knock-offs. Blue is an album every bit as bold an artistic statement as her contemporaries Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, who were recording the opuses Where I'm Coming From and What's Going On around the same time, and for Ross fans, Blue is every bit as enjoyable as her sultriest moments as the supreme Supreme."

Eaten Alive is a 1985 album by Diana Ross released on the RCA label. The album was conceived by members of the Bee Gees including the UK and Australia number one hit, "Chain Reaction". It also features the top ten R&B title track co-written and co-produced with Michael Jackson. Barry Gibb accompanied Ross in the background on most of the tracks with Jackson joining in on "Eaten Alive". "Experience" was also released as a single, reaching #47 in the UK Singles Chart. The success of "Chain Reaction" in international territories propelled the album to over 3 million worldwide sales. The song remains a staple in Diana's set especially when she tours internationally. The song written in the classic Motown style was reminiscent of The Supremes.
Diana made 3 of the most creative music videos of her entire career from "Eaten Alive", "Chain Reaction" and "Experience". "Eaten Alive" was also a Top 5 Dance hit.
Later CD reprints, outside the US under the label Capitol Records-EMI Records, contains as an additional 11th track an Extended Remix of the title track "Eaten Alive" (length 5:52) and in the back cover a Michael Jackson's note that reads: "You are truly Supreme. Glad to be with you again. I love you, Michael - 1998"

A nice early-'70s date from Diana Ross, who at that time was unaffected by her diva/show-business persona and was sticking to singing. She turned in effective, unadorned, soulful leads on several songs, with the title tune cracking the R&B Top 20 and pop Top 40. Ross would later turn to a more exaggerated, self-conscious, mock-sophisticate style, but on her early Motown albums, she retained the mix of innocence, anguish, and sexiness that made her a legendary vocalist.

As a solo artist Diana Ross' ‘70s recording career was often marred by lack of inspiring material and her film career. Even with her busy schedule she could always release good to great singles like 1976's "Love Hangover" and "I'm Getting Ready for Love." As an album artist, at this point, only Lady Sings the Blues, Diana and Marvin and 1977's Baby It's Me had displayed all of her gifts. While Ross doesn't attain that high standard, it at least offers some thoughtful performances. This 1978 set mixes six new tracks with earlier unreleased tracks. Like the Temptations 1975's House Party, this "throws together" tracks from different years. Although it could be reflected as a desperate tactic, Ross shows that often it can work. The ballads here tend to show her in the best light. The hypnotic and sensual "Never Say I Don't Love You" boasts one of her most subtle performances. That track along with "Where Did We Go Wrong" and "To Love Again" suggests that a great weepy album filled with strong ballads was just within reach. 1974's country styled offering, "Sorry Doesn't Always Make It Right" mixes in extremely well. The dance tracks aren't as good "Lovin', Livin' and Givin' and a discofied "What You Gave Me" both from 1978, has Ross going through the motions and feigning enthusiasm. (Oddly enough those two tracks appeared on her 1995 anthology.) While Ross isn't a full-fledged effort, it often captures enough of Ross' essence to make it recommended.

Everything Is Everything, Diana Ross's 1970 sophomore solo album, is finally available on CD. Released even as her debut solo album was still on the charts, EIE featured productions by Deke Richards, the leader of the "Corporation" team responsible for the Jackson 5 hits. The album didn't produce a major hit along the lines of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," Ross's big smash that year, but "I'm Still Waiting" became a U.K. No. 1. "I Love You (Call Me)," a cover of Aretha Franklin's hit, was nominated for a Grammyr (it lost to Aretha herself). The complete, fascinating story is all here in this beautiful, expanded edition that includes seven bonus tracks from the Motown vault. Among the stunning bonus tracks are unreleased covers of the Beatles "Something" and the Oscarrnominated song "What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life," alternate lyrics to "Ain't No Sad Song," a remix of "Come Together" - plus the hit U.K. remix of "I'm Still Waiting." "Touch Me in the Morning" is a song recorded by Diana Ross. It was a number one single in 1973.
The song was conceived by then-unproven talent, songwriter and producer Michael Masser, who had been recruited by Motown boss Berry Gordy and A&R staffer Suzanne de Passe to give Ross another huge hit a few years after Ross had hit pay dirt with her seminal 1970 cover of Marvin Gaye's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". Masser teamed up with proven ballad writer Ron Miller, to finish the song.
According to Masser later in a documentary about Ross, he said the singer always tried to push hard to "get the vocals right for this particular song" and said that it was a "draining experience" that resulted in several near-emotional breakdowns by Ross when she felt the song wasn't up to her abilities.
When she finally was satisfied with the version she recorded, Motown released the song as a single and Ross' prayers were answered when the song hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and is Ross' longest-charting record, remaining on the chart for 21 weeks. It also spent a week at #1 on the adult contemporary chart, the singer's first #1 on this chart. Sherlie Matthews, Clydie King and Venetta Fields sang background vocals for the song.
The song marked a turning point in both the careers of Ross and Masser as it reinvigorated Ross' singing career just as she was getting rave reviews for her acting debut in Lady Sings the Blues and introduced Masser to an audience that would become accustomed to his ballad-drenched songs.
Masser would go on to produce more songs for Ross and eventually worked with Whitney Houston.
