You Were Never Really Here is written and directed by Ramsay and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Judith Roberts, Ekaterina Samsonov, John Doman, Alex Manette, Dante Pereira-Olsen and Alessandro Nivola. The movie follows a former war veteran who tries to save women trapped in the world of sex trafficking.

Nonesuch will release Jonny Greenwood’s soundtrack to Oscar-nominated filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson’s new feature film, Inherent Vice, December 15, 2014, with the vinyl to follow March 3. An adaptation of the Thomas Pynchon novel of the same name, Inherent Vice, which will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in theaters starting on December 12, is set in the tail end of the psychedelic ’60s and stars Oscar nominees Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, and Owen Wilson. In addition to nine compositions by Jonny Greenwood, the soundtrack features “Spooks,” an unreleased Radiohead tune performed by members of Supergrass, as well as other recordings from the movie’s era. Additional performers include The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Neil Young, Can, and The Marketts, among others. The Inherent Vice soundtrack is available to pre-order now in the Nonesuch Store.
This is the third Anderson film that Greenwood has scored. Their previous collaborations include the critically praised soundtrack for 2007’s Academy Award-winning There Will Be Blood and 2012’s The Master, both released by Nonesuch. Rolling Stone said of The Master that its “visual poetry is matched by Jonny Greenwood’s haunting, hypnotic score.” The New Yorker described the music as “rich and inventive.” The Times of London exclaimed: “Jonny Greenwood’s score is superb.” Of the There Will Be Blood score, the Boston Globe noted that the “squealing, cicada-like strings of…Popcorn Superhet Receiver masterfully evoke the film’s apocalyptic vision of the West.”
Widely known as the guitarist for Radiohead, Jonny Greenwood also is a highly respected composer. In addition to There Will Be Blood and The Master, Nonesuch also released his score for Norwegian Wood and his collaboration with Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki last year.
Nonesuch also released the soundtrack for Anderson’s Punch-Drunk Love—a smart pop score by composer/producer Jon Brion—in 2002. Anderson’s other previous films—all of which have been highly praised—include Boogie Nights (1997) and Magnolia (1999).

Jonny Greenwood’s soundtrack to writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson’s film The Master comprises 11 compositions by Greenwood along with four recordings from the post–World War II era in which the film is set. Performers include The London Contemporary Orchestra, AUKSO Chamber Orchestra, and Ella Fitzgerald, among others.

Nonesuch Records releases Junun—an album from composer/musician Shye Ben Tzur, guitarist Jonny Greenwood, and the Rajasthan Express, a group of Indian musicians—on November 20, 2015. Recorded earlier this year in a makeshift studio inside the 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, India, the album was made with Radiohead's producer Nigel Godrich, who worked with the ensemble to create this two LP/CD album. The album comprises Ben Tzur’s compositions, which feature devotional Sufi qawwal musicians who sing in Urdu as well as in his native Hebrew. Junun is an alternate spelling of "junoon," which means "mania," or "the madness of love."
The filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, a friend and frequent collaborator of Greenwood, came along to document the recording sessions as well as daily life and the close camaraderie of artistic collaboration. Anderson's resulting impressionistic film, also entitled Junun, debuted at the New York Film Festival on October 8 and streamed exclusively on MUBI from October 9 through November 7. The film is available on iTunes.
Greenwood made a guest appearance last year during Ben Tzur's London concert, where they previewed some of the music of Junun, and this summer, the two were joined by the qawwali party for two performances at the Jerusalem Sacred Music Festival. Further concerts are being planned for the future, as are additional screenings of Anderson's film.
Shye Ben Tzur is an Israeli composer/producer/poet and performer who lives in India and Israel. He composes qawwalis—instrumental and devotional music—in Hebrew, Urdu, and Hindi. A concert by Zakir Hussain and Hariprasad Chaurasia that Ben Tzur attended as a young man was life-changing. "It touched my heart so deeply," he says. "It was at the time the deepest musical experience I had gone through. It moved me so that I could do nothing but go find out what it is. I feel I'm still in that spot. I don't think I have achieved it. Indian music is so vast and so deep and the more I learn different things about it, I realize how ignorant I was. It just doesn't stop."
"When I was in the Negev desert in southern Israel a couple of years ago, I heard a band playing a song using an Arabic violin called a rehab," Greenwood told London's Evening Standard. "It was a strange mix of Arabic and traditional Indian music, one that I'd never come across before," He continued, "The best song, I found out, was written by Shye Ben Tzur, an Israeli musician who had been living in India until this year. I set out to discover more about him … I'm always a little wary of rock bands half-heartedly dabbling in world music—itself a slightly greasy term—but there are exceptions. Damon Albarn is one: his work with musicians in Mali is something he's clearly fully committed to. And I think Shye Ben Tzur is another."

Smear

05年9月30日，Radiohead在Dead Air Space上面贴了一张会议的黑板的照片在Dead Air Space上面，这张照片上面有一张歌曲的列表和一些想法，这些都是乐队在9月19日到30日的排练中获得的，在左边的偏下的地方Thom写了“'PSR - Jonny loops – BBC”几个字，很显然他们打算采样一些“Popcorn Superhet Receiver”中的片断做为素材。

Never before have classical and rock converged in such an organic, compelling and sensual way as they do in the three short orchestral works written by and featuring The National guitarist Bryce Dessner on his new release St. Carolyn by the Sea, performed with the Copenhagen Phil and conducted by Andree de Ridder.
Dessner presents three pieces of modern classical music, written from the perspective of a rock musician who is keenly aware of the raw emotional impact music any music can have on an audience. He draws on elements from Baroque and folk music, late Romanticism and modernism, minimalist music and the blues, among others, as well as referencing the work of such legendary figures as John Fahey, La Monte Young, Bela Bartook, Glenn Branca, Benjamin Britten, Morton Feldman, Philip Glass and Steve Reich. Despite this broad spectrum of influences, his voice remains individual and distinct.
With this album, which also showcases a suite drawn from Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwoods soundtrack for There Will Be Blood, Bryce Dessner and Jonny Greenwood open up a new frontier for symphonic music.
