La trama evoca la situación del campo andaluz en vísperas de la guerra civil y en sus comienzos. Es una historia que cabalga entre el documental y la ficción, y que recoge el quehacer de los jornaleros en los años 30 del pasado siglo. Basada en una novela de Antonio García Cano describe con cierto detalle la vida cotidiana de un grupo de jornaleros que protagonizan una movilización por sus derechos más elementales. Se puede entender que estos están vinculados con la CNT aunque no queda muy precisado. El colectivo asiste esperanzado a la victoria electoral del Frente Popular hasta que llegan las noticias del golpe y los caciques con el apoyo del ejército y de la Falange comienzan la caza de los "rojos" que se habían distinguido en las luchas en una tierra de rastrojos, o sea donde los campesinos viven de lo queda después de que los amos se hayan quedado con el producto de la siega. Based on a true story, the film narrates the life of a fictitious Peronist union leader who, after years of militancy, gains power in the union during the 1960s and gradually becomes a corrupt bureaucrat.

A set of nine stories whose central theme is eroticism. The different directors of the film deal from philosophical aspects to others that are almost pornographic, but always with a common denominator: sensuality.

"El Andarín", a mythical guerrilla of the fifties, goes down to the open-air dance. A little girl looks at him with her big eyes. Years later, that girl has become a beautiful woman, Amparo, in love with the member of the resistance. But "El Andarín" is already someone condemned to be a loser. Hided deep in the forest, he has become a harassed beast. Juan, brother of Amparo, returns after several years of exile to convince him to leave the mountain and to get safely away from there. But Juan ignores the relations that his sister has maintained with "El Andarín".

In a town near Salamanca, an eccentric widower, aged 60, is captivated by an imp, a precocious 13 year old. Alejandro is wealthy and alone, passing time with music, chess, and his shotgun. Gregoria (Goyita) the daughter of a weak-willed policeman and his bullying wife, is a budding naturalist who conspires to meet Alejandro. Even though he knows the village is talking, Alejandro spends time with Goyita, on walks, horseback rides, and dinners. He's enchanted and tells his friend the village priest that he's living for the first time. Goyita makes new demands on Alejandro, and he must decide how to be true to his ethics and to this Platonic yet highly-charged relationship.
