Elvis Is Back! is the tenth album by Elvis Presley, released on RCA Victor Records in mono and stereo, LPM/LSP 2231, in April 1960. Recording sessions took place on March 20 and April 3, 1960, at RCA Studio B in Nashville, Tennessee. It was Presley's first album to be released in true stereo. It peaked at number two on the Top Pop Albums chart and is listed, along with his debut and From Elvis in Memphis, in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. It was certified Gold on July 15, 1999, by the RIAA

“猫王”埃尔维斯-普莱斯利(Elvis Presley)生于1935年1月, 1977年8月因心脏衰竭去世,在短短的42个年头里, 普莱斯利无疑是摇滚乐坛的奠基人物之一,因为是他促使摇滚音乐走入寻常百姓家, 促使人们认识了摇滚,更多人的爱上了摇滚. 普莱斯利最开始签约于SUN唱片公司,1956年转签RCA(BMG)唱片公司,他是将白人乡村音乐与黑人布鲁斯音乐完美结合的典范,在之后几年的黄金时间里, 普莱斯利的Love Me Tender, Too Much, All Shook Up, Jailhouse Rock, Hard Headed Woman, (Now and Then There's) A Fool Such As I, Don't, A Big Hunk O' Love, Don't Cry, Daddy ,Stuck On You等歌曲高居排行榜首,也是其众多作品中的精华之所在.1960年之后,摇滚乐坛发生了一些新的变革,但服兵役归来后的普莱斯利专辑中的歌曲,无论从内容还是演唱形式,均未有大的改变,走下坡路已无可挽回,进入70年代,婚姻的破裂,加上过量吸毒等因素,嗓音也变得粗糙、松散.但无论如何, 普莱斯利的历史地位是不可动摇的.CD1中本人最喜欢的是Spanish Eyes，高低音男声相得益彰，感情真挚，那捏得当，且配器透彻、质朴。之所以选择Always on My Mind作为试听曲，是因为这是一首非常动人心弦的乡村歌曲,虽然普莱斯利唱的不是最好,但确与猫王当时的感情处境有密切的关系.CD2的试听曲Love Me Tender是本人听的第一首猫王的歌曲,也是猫王曲风转变的一个水分岭.
