Bram Stoker was a mysterious British formation that pressed their first & only album in 1972. Their name evokes macabre gothic atmospheres, & so does their music - fitting for a group so clearly inspired by the 'Prince of Darkness'. In the early seventies, groups like Black Widow, Atomic Rooster & Black Sabbath ruled the day, & the up-and-coming Bram Stoker apparently had everything it needed to make it big, except a bit of luck. The band would soon fade into decades of obscurity, but not before releasing their amazing 'Heavy Rock Spectacular', a true pearl of original prog, dominated by the evocative tones of the Hammond organ (dexterously played by a keyboardist who has little to envy of the great Keith Emerson or Vincent Crane).
