在广寂空旷的海边，一只漂流瓶随着无尽的波涛泊于沙滩之上。没人知道它经过怎样的万里跋涉，只知道一段缘分由此而生。一个沙人发现了漂流瓶，里面只有洁白的雪。雪倒在沙滩上迅速融化，甚入沙中。他凭其搅和了雪水与海水的沙子，装入瓶中，再次投入了茫茫的大海。经过漫长的旅行，漂流瓶回到了起点——某森林的小河旁。这里正值冬季，白雪皑皑，清净纯然。一个雪球化作雪人，拾起了漂流瓶，又重新装入新的礼物投入河中。沙人和雪人就这样远隔重洋，靠着漂流瓶交流心声。远距离的思念令人难耐，沙人亟待和远方的朋友见上一面……
