Un joven profesor de sexología aprovecha un congreso para pasar la luna de miel en el hotel en Mallorca donde se celebra el evento. Allí se encuentra con colegas de distintas nacionalidades que también han acudido acompañados de sus mujeres. Una serie de cambios en los novedosos medicamentos que se presentan provoca una serie de reacciones imprevistas que van desde los celos a la envidia profesional. La situación hace que se tambalee la relación amorosa de los recién casados.

Luciano lleva quince años trabajando en una importante empresa sin que le hayan sido recompensados sus esfuerzos, su fidelidad y sumisión. Por recomendación de un primo suyo, hace de hombre de paja para los negocios inconfesables de los directivos. Éstos le manipulan hasta el extremo de obligarle a casarse con la ex amante de uno de sus jefes. Al final, por culpa de un incendio del chalet en el que vive y donde se cuecen los negocios sucios de los que no es responsable, termina yendo a parar a la cárcel, por encubrir y achacarse unas responsabilidades que no son suyas, cumpliendo hasta el final su papel de testaferro.
