Island Records will release a soundtrack album for the musical family comedy Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. The album features the original songs from the movie written by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land) and Shawn Mendes and performed by Mendes who stars in the title role, Javier Bardem, Constance Wu, Winslow Fegley. Also included is Elton John’s Crocodile Rock, Pete Rodriguez’s I Like It Like That & more. The soundtrack will be released on October 7 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is directed by Will Speck & Josh Gordon and also stars Scoot McNairy and Brett Gelman. The movie is based on Bernard Waber’s children’s book of the same name and follows a boy who discovers a a singing crocodile in the attic of his new home and must team up with his eccentric owner to protect his new friend. The comedy will be released in theaters nationwide on October 7 by Sony Pictures.

The album features the film’s original songs written by Academy Award, Grammy Award and Tony Award winners Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, The Greatest Showman, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, A Christmas Story: The Musical, La La Land) and performed by cast members including Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, Octavia Spencer, Sunita Mani, Patrick Page, Tracy Morgan & others. Spirited is directed by Sean Anders and written by Anders & John Morris is based on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, told from the perspective of the ghosts. The movie will be released in select theaters on November 11 before premiering on November 18 on Apple TV+.
