A retired detective is trying to catch a serial killer who uses Russian letters to find his victims.

Moscow, 1902. The famous director Konstantin Stanislavsky, in search of inspiration for staging a new play, decides to get acquainted with the life of the city "bottom". He turns to Vladimir Gilyarovsky, a recognized expert on the Moscow slums, for help.

In one famous shopping center an unusual person works as a security guard. He helps everyone: sellers of fashionable clothes, cleaners and barmen in cafeteria. He knows everybody and everything, and people around do love him. It is more than work, it is a real life, full-fledged life – he dresses free of charge, eats at restaurants, sleeps in a furniture store and participates in night races on floor polishers. Actually, he has a secret dream, that’ s why he saves all his money to carry out it some day.

The hero of Mikhail Galustyan, known in our world as KarlOson, lives in a magical and colorful world of metrics - chubby flying big-ear humanoids one meter tall, whose mission - to help kids. Metrics can show themselves to children, but are forced to carefully hide the fact of their existence from boring adults.
