Christian Bodin and his mother Maria Bodin are set on an adventure for the Land of Smiles. They meet many zany characters and face several obstacles along their journey in Thailand.

Mais, cette fois-ci, pour les 50 ans de son fils, Maria Bodin va tout faire pour que cet anniversaire soit inoubliable. Mais il reste un objectif de taille : trouver un cadeau à Christian... Pourquoi pas une petite amie ? Maria n’est pas au bout de ses peines, ni de surprises...

本片由12段情境对话组成，每段的主人公均为一男一女，且前一段和后一段的主人公有重叠，如此接龙，形成了一个连环的系列剧，首尾呼应。内容主要反映法国生活中都市男女剪不断理还乱的情感纠葛。包括婚外情男女最后一次云雨，出轨男对于老婆的谎话，职业介绍中的潜规则，小姐出卖情感和身体的代价，夫妻对于生意的分歧，化妆与早餐引发的矛盾，旧情人上门复合的期望，云雨后感受时间的压力，杂志引发的口角，婚前恐惧症，各怀心事的烹饪……
导演斯特凡•布里泽仅仅用了10天就写出了剧本，拍摄时间是4天，剪辑再花了4天，整部电影的全部制作时间只有18天。出境的演员均为初登大银幕的新人，这使得本片更具有实验小品的气息。
