A man with a gunshot wound in the stomach comes to first house and collapses in Anita's apartment. A minute later he dies and the girl, horrified by what happened, must look for somebody who would help her get rid of the corpse...

A story about a guy who still lives with his mother and sells some really awful alcohol to bartenders. The only way for him to do this is to cry and invent himself an awful life. Then he meets the beautiful woman whose goal in life is to sleep with the less exciting guys on Earth.

This Bernadette has left them to become a rock-star, and is back 15 years later for a weekend. Jean-Marie Poire describes with this movie the portrait of a generation with lots of humor served by excelent actors.

　　本片描述了由让．雷诺和克里斯蒂昂．克拉维埃饰演的戈德弗鲁瓦骑士和他的侍从拉弗里普伊两人因巫师的失误由公元1122年被抛送到现代。他们被电话、汽车、洗澡间等等现代化的设施弄得惊讶不已，从而演出一系列笑话。导演让－马力．普瓦雷善于突出并发挥演员的作用，注重对诙谐文字、滑稽剧和高卢幽默的兼收并蓄。本片“玩"的是长达千年的“时间差"，充分利用了张冠李戴和过时的习俗，围绕中世纪来客面对现代电子世界的丑恶遭遇产生的惊讶来做文章。它完美地运用了大量特技效果，故成一部滑稽惊险喜剧。

康德公爵（让·雷诺 Jean Reno饰）是12世纪的贵族，这天他前来城堡与公主订婚，却遭到奸人迫害。他的酒杯里被投下巫婆的毒药，让他喝下了迷魂药。神志不清中，康德杀死了公主，被抓入大牢。 　　 仆人安德烈（克里斯汀·克拉维尔 Christian Clavier饰）去找巫师，让康德回到事件之前。但是，粗心的巫师却抓错了药，结果康德和安德烈去到了21世纪的芝加哥。他们遇上了康德的后人朱莉亚（克里斯蒂娜•艾伯盖特 Christina Applegate 饰），得知如果他们不及时回到12世纪，罗萨琳公主将无法复活，后人就会消失。但是安德烈却乐不思蜀了。他和一个女孩打得火热，并不大愿意回到12世纪。然而时间不等人，康德的归去越来越迫切，而安德烈却还在温柔乡里磨蹭。事情越来越棘手。
