Marie est cadre dans un aéroport. Au cours d'une sortie rafting, elle fait la connaissance de Maxime, passionné de parachutisme. Elle ignore cependant qu'avec sa bande, ils pillent des transports de fonds sur des aéroports, et qu'ils préparent un braquage. Pour s'assurer de son silence, le gang sabote son parachute. Un an plus tard, handicapée après cette chute, elle décide de se venger...

Captain Eloïse Gentil, of Caen police, hasn't been on speaking terms with her father Robert, an expert on WWII, for twenty years. But the two are brought together to investigate the death of James Crawley, a 91 year-old former GI, found tied to a pole and in his uniform, apparently executed "as an example".

A grizzled Parisian detective is sent to an outpost town in Southern France to dismantle a gang of killers which has freed a notorious criminal. The detective inherits a team of unmotivated and dishevelled detectives, and he makes connections nobody else ever saw because nobody else bothered to look. A mysterious, charismatic figure, he leads by example, and gradually his team begins to feel like cops again.
