Forty years after Britain's foremost underground band released their debut album Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Pink Floyd remain one of the biggest brand names and best-loved bands in the world. This film features extended archive footage, some of it rarely or never seen, alongside original interviews with the four surviving members of Pink Floyd - David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright and Nick Mason - and traces the journey of a band that has only ever had five members, three of whom have lead the band at different stages of its evolution.

这张DVD真的足够叫平克迷喷血了，为Pink Floyd于1974年在庞贝古城现场录音记录片导演剪辑版，我rip的时候连同一个24分钟的导演访谈也做了。这个版本的庞贝古城现场为16:9画面制作，质素强过以前市面上任何VCD、DVD全屏幕版现场video，为诸位平克迷献上，与同好之人分享乃最大乐趣！片中珍贵画面太多，截图数量有限，未能反映乐队成员对录音与乐器技术的见解、导演对庞贝古城文化的刻画。另，最后一张截图为导演Adrian Maben。

由于年代久远，录音有细微的杂讯，不过丝毫不能影响此视频的珍贵性，rip时内嵌了英文字幕，加上导演访问记录片配上英文字幕，我想更利于诸位对Pink选取庞贝古城这一现场进行录音的创意与意图，国内的包括台湾地区的摇滚节目制作对字幕的处理通常会弄巧成拙、辞不达义。就如这部记录片，诸多不负责任的网络、平面媒体编辑称之为“庞贝古城演唱会”，殊不知这其实是一部Pink Floyd结合古文明的现场录音创意记录片。还有人会把这部记录片与柏林墙演唱会放在一起，其实根本不具备可比性，当然又不知道多少人把Roger Waters柏林墙演唱会冠以“Pink Floyd柏林墙演唱会”了。个人认为，这部记录片应该和“Dark Side of the Moon”概念记录片属于一类，由乐队成员出演，表演和自然剪辑结合而亦不同于电影“Wall”由演员表演配合音乐的概念风格。

当时的平克已经摆脱了SYD BARRET离去后的阵痛， 接连几张成功的专辑，，使他们的事业蒸蒸日上， 也为后来那张旷世绝伦的做了完美的铺垫。 这个现场里面的歌曲也基本都来自上述几张专辑以及即将发行的那张， 并收入了一首从未发行过的歌曲“Mademoiselle Nobs”， 导演剪辑版中更是增加了第二年他们在伦敦埃比路（ABBEY ROAD）录音室录制DARK SIDE OF THE MOON专辑时的珍贵镜头

这张DVD发行之后, 这个导演剪辑版引起了不小的非议, 很多歌迷认为导演加入的大量诸如飞船,卫星,地铁和很多现在的庞贝的镜头(甚至还有一大段假想中当年繁荣的庞贝的CG)是对这部伟大现场的破坏, 与其强加给观者这些个人色彩很浓的感受, 还不如像原始版本那样留给大家更多自己体会的空间.还好这张DVD里同样收入了原来的剧场版, 连着看完导演剪辑版和原始版本之后, 我也觉得还是更喜欢原来的剧场版(更纯粹的一种音乐享受). 不过导演版里多出来的那些录制'月缺'的段落和其他的精彩访谈也是弥足珍贵(我觉得那段在巴黎时乐队成员和导演之间的互相打趣尤其有意思). 究竟哪个版本更好大家可以自己去比较比较看.

Live In Gdańsk is a live album by David Gilmour. It is a part of his On an Island project which includes an album, tour, DVD, and live album. It was released on 22 September 2008.
It is a recording of the final show of his On an Island tour in 2006, where he played to an audience of 50,000 at the Gdańsk Shipyard to celebrate Poland's 1980 revolution.
The show is notable for being the only show on the tour to feature the song A Great Day for Freedom, which appears on Pink Floyd's final studio album The Division Bell from 1994. It was last performed by Gilmour during his semi-acoustic shows in 2002.

Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii is a 1972 concert film directed by Adrian Maben and featuring the English rock group Pink Floyd performing at the ancient Roman amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy. The band performs a typical live set from the era, but there is no audience beyond the basic film crew. The main footage in and around the amphitheatre was filmed over four days in October 1971, using the band's regular touring equipment, including a mobile 8-track recorder from Paris (before being bumped up to 16-track in post-production). Additional footage filmed in a Paris television studio the following December was added for the original 1972 release. The film was then re-released in 1974 with additional studio material of the band working on The Dark Side of the Moon, and interviews at Abbey Road Studios.

The film has subsequently been released on video numerous times, and in 2002, a Director's cut DVD appeared which combined the original footage from 1971 with more contemporary shots of space and the area around Pompeii, assembled by Maben. In 2025, a 4K restoration, titled Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII, was shown in cinemas. A number of bands have taken inspiration from the film in creating their own videos, or filming concerts without an audience.
